Reports indicate that in the next nine days, Russia will host a meeting on peace in Afghanistan with the presence of representatives from Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, the United States, as well as representatives of the Taliban.

The summit is to be aimed at speeding up inter-Afghan talks in Doha.

"Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council, has also been invited to the meeting, but it is not yet clear whether he will attend the meeting," said Fereydoun Khozoon, a spokesman for the Supreme National Reconciliation Council.

On the other hand, the United States is trying to hold a world summit on Afghanistan.

US Secretary Anthony Blinken says Washington wants from the United Nations to hold a global summit with foreign ministers and special envoys from the United States, Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran and India regarding the Afghan peace process.

Mr. Blinken adds that another meeting will be hosted by Turkey in the Afghan peace process.

He says the incident among Afghan leaders over the past decade has not had good results and should not be repeated. He adds that working with Abdullah Abdullah, Hamid Karzai and Abdul Rasul Sayyaf is important to strengthen the republic's position.

He also says that the situation in Afghanistan has worst after the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and will lead to fall parts of Afghanistan by Taliban.
