Local sources in Herat province said, at the same time as dozens of gas tankers caught fire in the port of Islam Qala, Iran's electricity supply to Herat was cut off. On the other hand, Breshna Company says that at around 1:40 this afternoon, due to a fire in the port of Islam Qala, in the 132 KV line of Iran which has been imported, the electricity supply to this province was cut off.
The technical teams of Deh Afghanistan Breshna Company are working to eliminate the problem and supply electricity to Herat again as soon as possible. meanwhile Dozens of oil and gas tankers have caught fire and exploded in the port of Islam Qala.
Herat Governor Seyed Vahid Ghatali told the media that the fire was widespread and it seemed impossible to control it, so we asked Iran for help.
Meanwhile, Herat Deputy Governor Monseh Hassanzadeh told Khameh Press that the fire was still burning and that consultations were underway by the Foreign Ministry to send aid from Iran.
