The Ministry of Information and Culture says, Yahya Javaheri, the country's famous poet and writer, passed away due to an illness.

"Yahya Javaheri has spent many years of his life in service of the country's language and literature," wrote Mohammad Taher Zuhair, head of the Ministry of Information and Culture, on his Facebook page.
