According to World Bank, security and political challenges and reduction of international aid have slowed Afghanistan's economic growth, which has been affected by outbreak of Covi-19.

The World Bank now predicts that Afghanistan will have one percent economic growth in 2021, and in 2022, if the Covid-19 pandemic decrease , it is likely to increase to about three percent. The World Bank stated in the report that growth of agricultural sectors in Afghanistan during 2020 was partly able to ensure economic stability.

According to World Bank report, full recovery of the economic situation in Afghanistan will be very challenging; Because many factories and companies have closed and many businesses have disappeared. The private sector's trust in this situation had been severely less due to difficult security conditions and concerns about the outcome of peace talks, the possible withdrawal of foreign troops and a significant reduction in international aid.

It should be noted that the Afghanistan Economic Report is part of the South Asian Economic Development Report, which is published twice a year by the World Bank. This report examines the economic developments, prospects and challenges in this area.
